This year was made very scandalous, biased and non-transparent competition for the selection of the best projects to fund youth and children’s civic organizations by Ministry of Youth and Sports led by Dmytro Bulatov. Active young people did not agree and by democratic procedure eventually sued. And with significant participation of Studrespublika and other brave – won the court!
Recall that the result of a competition of projects, according to the order of Ministry of Youth and Sports dated July 17, 2014, №2350, was an unfair allocation of funding for a small number of organizations, mostly one way or another, that are close to power and leadership of the Ministry. The competition was held with many violations of the legislation of Ukraine.
Leaders of the youth and children’s public organizations have expressed their strong disagreement with this decision. There were multiple complaints about violations to the leadership of Ministry of Youth and Sports, to the President and the Prime Minister, street actions… but no one stepped in and did not establish justice.
Therefore it was decided to refer to the last argument of a democratic, civilized tool of a dispute – the court. All-Ukrainian public children’s motion «School of Safety»filed a lawsuit in order to admit the decision of Ministry of Youth and Sports concerning the competition of projects in 2014 illegal. Third parties are combating tyranny of the Ministry of Youth and Sports were: All-Ukrainian Non-Governmental Youth Organization«Student republic», All-Ukrainian Non-Governmental Youth Organization«Ukrainian Student’s Association» and All-Ukrainian Non-Governmental Youth Organization«Human Resources Association of young politicians and administrators». Studrespublika, should be mentioned, spent a considerable organizational and advisory work to support the claim.
Finally, on the 14th of October a meeting of the panel of judges recognized the illegality of a decision of the Ministry concerning the competition and Ministry of Youth and Sports have been obligated to hold a new and fair contest. Now we will fight with the officials for the implementation of the court’s decision.
So, sometimes there is justice in our country, and thanks to activists, thanks to all who are not indifferent, a theft will be eventually supplanted by honesty and dignity, and Ukraine will start to evolve rapidly!
