Studrespublika: Public Financial Report of 2016

Despite the all difficulties, every year Studrespublika expands its activity and attracts a growing number of citizens, especially youth, to participate in its events. Traditionally we are publishing an annual financial report of 2016.

Publicity is a necessary frame of work of any civic organization. Publication of annual accounts is established practice that, unfortunately, is not a system for the majority of Ukrainian NGO’s. Summary of activities of NGO Students’ Republic and the financial report for 2016 is in the following material.

First of all, Thanks to the Republicans, participants of all the activities and Studrespublika’s everyday life, partners, friends, experts, followers who ideologically, organizationally and financially support our Common Cause. We are publishing the official data on financial and project performance indexes of the NGO Students’ Republic for 2016.

The All-Ukrainian Non-Governmental Youth Organization Students’ Republic was registered by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on the 22^nd of April, 2006.

During 2016 Studrespublika implemented a number of projects, among which the most resonant were:

• The Wall of Love, February 14^th, regions of Ukraine;
• The VIII Winter Studrespublikaon ‘The alternative courses of Ukraine’s development’, February 26^th – 29 ^th, Carpathians, Bukovyna;
• Joint Super Final of the nationwide contest The Best student of Ukraine-2013/2015 and the national beauty contest The First Lady of Ukraine-2013/2015, May 14^th, Uzhgorod
• The Civil Lyceum II on ‘Free citizens — strong communities — the key to the effective state’, June 11-12, Poltava;
• universities and regional stages of the International Program Student’s Republic-2016, May-July;
• The Final XVIII Studrespublika-2016 on ‘The positive scenarios of Ukraine’s modernization: the role of communities and youth’, August 24^th -27^th, the Black Sea Spit, Chornomorka (Mykolaiv region);
• regional stages of the Best Student of Ukraine contest, November-December;
• The Civil Lyceum on ‘Humanistic values as a way to a civilized society’ and Forum of Student Unity, December 16-17, Sumy;
• The Final of the Best Student of Ukraine contest, December 17^th, Sumy.

Due to the crisis, which had been affected Ukraine over a few years already, the civil and the protest component of the Studrespublika had increased. During the year, activists took part at the campaign against the reduction of scholarships and a huge increase of tariffs. Also Studrespublika organized and participated in many events dedicated to the finding an alternative way of Ukraine’s development, gaining human rights and restoration of peace in Ukraine, the role of youth and students in this.

During 2016 the Republicans continued contributing to the development of critical thought of Ukraine, to dialogue with the leading intellectuals of Ukraine and the whole world on domestic sites as well as abroad.

So in 2016 revenues and expenditures for the implementation of mandated activities of the NGO Students’ Republic were:

• revenues (excluding the balance of January 1, 2016 & funds on deposit): 591 450,00 UAH, incl.:
• as non-repayable financial assistance of individuals and entities: 247 201,83 UAH;
   § targeted funding of programs with the state budget: 327 038,00 UAH;
   § passive incomes: 17 210,17 UAH;
• expenditures (including funds on deposit): 1 172 973,27

Note: the amounts do not include the turnovers of local branches of the NGO Students’ Republic.
