First in Ukraine Congresses of Ukrainian Youth Forum were Held

On the 24^th of September 2014 in Kyiv, in the building of KPI there was held the first national congress of youth and children is public organizations, which are the members of the Ukrainian Youth Forum. 188 official delegates took part in it, who were representatives of 64 organizations. Stanislav Kutsenko the Head of Ukrainian Students Association was elected to be a Chairman. On the 11^th of October there was another one congress, where Commissions on Membership and Auditing were chosen.

Ukrainian Youth Forum (UYF) — it is a national Ukrainian Platform, which unites youth of the country, representing the interests of NGOs in government agencies and in the international arena. That congress was an important point in the development of a democratic society because it gathered officially delegated representatives from various organizations, which represent people of various political, religious and other beliefs from all over Ukraine that gathered to develop different mechanisms for joint actions for development of our country.

At the Congress of September 24 have been represented 20 regions of Ukraine and in total 188 official delegates from 64 Ukrainian youth and children is organizations. The first step in establishing a fruitful and effective work was democratically elected Chairman and members of the UYF. Ivan Krulko, the Chairman of the organizing committee for the preparation of the Congress, was the Chair at the meeting, presiding among speakers – republican leader Pavlo Viknyanskyy.

Stanislav Kutsenko was elected to be a Chairman, who heads the Ukrainian Students Association and also was elected on position of Student mayor of Kyiv in 2003/2004 and 2005/2006, today he  is an effective and patriotic youth leader. An indicator of genuine democracy is the fact that commission was chosen from moderate, Left and Right Forces, minority youth.

Unfortunately, because of the lack of time delegates had no possibility to go through all the items on the agenda, so that it was decided to convene an extraordinary congress on 11^th of October. The event that had place in Kyiv, in the building of Institute of Physiology named O.Bohomolets, was attended by 38 delegates from the same amount of organizations. During the congress there were elected members of the Commission on Membership and Auditing committee.

Resolution adopted by the Congress identified the following main tasks of UYF: a full integration into the European Youth Forum, to become an effective subject for effective government policy for youth and children in Ukraine, to facilitate cleaning of the state from corruption, traitors and incompetent persons.

After the Extraordinary Congress there were held meetings of statutory bodies of UYF: lets stress that to the position of deputy chairman was elected Oleksandr Scherba, one of the leaders of Students Republic, and Pavlo Viknyanskyy became a leader of the Commission on Membership — important statutory innovation, created due to European model and designed to look after  the forum membership.
