Who will be the best among the students from all over the country in 8 categories? How at the same time join a unique educational program and understand what really the so-called European values mean? What are the requirements of young people to the government? All of us have an easy opportunity to join the answers to all these questions — come to Sumy 16th December. Below — the details of the coolest events and how to get there.
End of the year, so it is an appropriate time to summarize the results of the regional stages of All- Ukrainian competition program Ukraine`s Best Student 2016 and determine the national winners.
But we emphasize that in the current difficult times, when citizens often lose vital clues and despair, young people emigrate significantly, it is essential to restore public discussion about what really to be a responsible citizen means. That is why, following the tradition of the Civic lyceum, previously held twice in Poltava, we decided to supplement competitive, recreational, sightseeing program of events around the final Ukraine`s Best Student 2016 by meaningful one. This is an important initiative that should gather activists, experts, young leaders and other caring citizens together for the dialogue on universal values and ways of their implementation in practice.
And the first Civic lyceum will be hold December16-17 at the Congress Center of Sumy State University (9/1, Pokrovska st.) onHumanistic Values as a Way to Civilized Society. Among the speakers famous Ukrainian and local philosophers, political scientists, futurists, social and political activists, leaders of state and local governments are planned to be invited. After the lectures for participants, the Forum of Students’ Catholicity concerning the key issues of young people in modern Ukraine. To participate in this event you need to pass a simple, but mandatory online registration.
The evening of December 17thin theAssembly Hall ofSumy State University (2, Rymskoho-Korsakova st.) the show of the super final contest Ukraine’s Best Student will be performed. During this performance the best students in the following categories will be identified:
Best Student (Complex Characteristics);
Best Student Analyst;
Best Student Public Activist;
Best Student Designer;
Best Student Media Worker;
Best Student Scientist;
Best Student Programmer;
Best Student Athlete.
The organizers provide for the winners of the regional stages of the UBS free accommodation and meals.
